How is everyone? I am getting back to real life after a 4 day getaway to Dallas, TX for the 6th annual Reward Style Conference. It was pretty amazing, but so nice to be home. I love sharing new, simple ways to wear outfits and jeans are ALWAYS at the top of my list. I love jeans so much and wear them year round. Black denim has definitely become a staple for me the last few years. I remember a few years ago I hadn’t bought a pair of black denim yet, and my older sister said “WHAT do you mean you don’t have any black jeans yet?” I knew it was time! Ha! Black jeans are so chic and can easily be dressed up or down depending on the look you are going for. If you love outfit ideas like this, you will love this one too where I styled the same inexpensive top 3 ways. In this post, I want to share with you easy tips on what to wear with black jeans so you can rock them all year long!
What to Wear with Black Jeans–3 Stylish outfits

What to Wear with Black Jeans – Look 1: Chic and Stylish
So this first outfit is the perfect example of an outfit you would see me wearing out to dinner for a date night or out with girlfriends. Hooray for night’s out! That is what I love about black denim, they are so versatile. The particular black denim I have styled in each of the 3 looks are very comfortable and stretchy, which is perfect for this busy mom of three. Also, for size reference I am normally a size 27 or 4 and this pair fits well at size 27. I chose a pair with no distressing for this blog post, as I know some women do not like holes in their jeans. If you like holes, then I highly recommend these $32 black distressed jeans. I have them and wear them all the time. I have paired these jeans in this outfit with a grey crochet top that has been so popular with all of you. I love this top (runs loose..I am wearing s/m)! These scalloped heels are the newest heels I have purchased lately, and they are great because they are comfortable and still provide 3″ of height. The block heel makes them more comfortable for sure. The black scalloped detail strap pairs perfectly with black denim. Heels and jeans are DEFINIETLY a do in my book. You just need to add a little black bag and you are date night ready!

What to Wear with Black Jeans – Look 2: Casual and Cute
I would say looking casual and cute is something I strive for daily, besides of course, being a good mother, friend and wife! Sure there are plenty of days I wear workout clothes around town, but most days I prefer to look cute and casual. Pair the black denim with a cute ruffle t-shirt and you achieve just that. I added my go-to tan wedges (cheaper version but just as cute linked here)for a summery feel and the tan crossbody bag that is such a great dupe for a much more expensive designer version. A good white tee is a staple in your closet (or in my case, about 143 white tee’s) and this ruffle tee is no exception. I like that the ruffle sleeve adds more interest. The wedges go so well with just about everything in my closet, even dresses and cut-offs. That is always something I think about before buying a new clothing item and I encourage you to do the same thing..is this something I can wear styled many different ways and for different times such as daytime, night time or church. I try to make sure the answer is yes and then I feel comfortable buying it.
Polka Dot Shell//Black Jeans//Black Heels
What to Wear with Black Jeans – Look 3: Perfect for Day or Night
The third look I have styled for what to wear with black jeans is perfect for day or night. The black denim paired with the polka dot shell can be worn to the office, church, daytime or date night. For work, it could be worn under a blazer and with black slacks or the black denim if your office allows that. Our church is semi-casual so this outfit would be perfect for Sunday morning. You could add a black cardigan/sweater if it was cool out. During the day time, I would add these black slides with the jeans and polka dot shell. Believe me, I don’t wear block heels to pick up my kids from school, but I could as this pair is ultra comfy. I might also add a distressed jean jacket during daytime or date night if I needed another layer. I LOVE black jeans with a denim jean jacket. A distressed denim jacket (this one is so affordable too) is a no brainer when thinking about what to wear with black jeans.
