Hi friends! The time is almost here for one of the BIGGEST shopping days all year..The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. This is basically like Black Friday in July at Nordstrom’s. They discount brand new merchandise (think fall denim, fall boots, leather jackets, cozy sweaters and more) for a few weeks and then prices go up once the sale is over. Before I was blogging I shopped this sale and believe me, it never disappoints. I don’t want to shove this sale down your throat, but want to offer you some insider tips and tricks so you are all prepared!
Tip 1: Gain Early Access with your Nordstrom Card. This is my BIGGEST piece of advice. If you don’t have a Nordy’s card, I highly recommend it so you can shop as soon as the sale goes live, which is this Thursday, July 12th.
only Nordstrom cardmembers will be able to shop the sale during the Early Access time frame. Apply for a Nordstrom Credit Card here so you can get first dibs on the sale and share the sign-up link with your audience!
Post-Approval Card Benefits:
– Earn 2 points per dollar spent in stores and online at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, HauteLook and Trunk Club.
– Plus, get a $40 bonus Note when you make any purchase with us on your new card the day you’re approved.
I have a card and I love to earn points and Nordstrom notes towards future purchases. I always pay it off each month and sometimes I don’t even use it when shopping..it’s not a requirement any time except for the early access portion of the anniversary sale.
If you choose not to get a card, you have to wait until the sale goes public, which is July 20th.
I will mention that a ton of items sell out every year before the public sale, so keep that in mind. Shoot, last year, items sold out the first day like my beloved pink adidas tubular sneakers that I scored for under $100! I get asked about these shoes still!
Tip 2: Buy multiple sizes if you are unsure. Don’t wait to try on at home, it will sell out. You can always return at no cost and you don’t want to miss out on the item. I have done this the past few years and I never regret it because of Nordstrom’s amazing return policy.
Tip 3: use in store pickup if you live close to Nordstrom. I can’t do this since I live in OKC and we have no Nordstrom (I know, it’s a travesty) but if we did, I would use this convieent option often. I do this at loft all the time and it’s a huge timesaver.
Tip 4: Think ahead for holiday gifts. This sale is a great time to score awesome beauty bundles on sale and tons more gift ideas. I always stock up on my fave candles for myself and gift giving.
Tip 5: Back to School Shop for your kids. I love to buy their shoes at Nordy’s and do so during this sale. I also get some back to school clothes for all 3 and fall clothes as well.
Last Tip: Subscribe to my email list so you get the sale post first! Even before I mention it on IG. I never spam and you are only emailed when a new blog post goes live here. Also..
