Whew! Did Daylight savings throw off everyone else’s schedule?! While I’m excited for more daylight; as a mom I NEEDED that hour of sleep! Not only has time sprung forward, but it seems like this year has too! Can’t believe it’s time for the Easter Bunny to visit! My kids love egg hunts and getting a basket filled with goodies and celebrating the true meaning of Easter! This year I opted for personalized monogrammed baskets for our 3 children from Bebe Embroidery and they turned out so adorable! But now it is time to fill these baskets!
Today I wanted to share my Non-Candy Easter Basket Ideas for Kids! The gifts I’m sharing are all from Target and Amazon; both have 2 day shipping so it can be here just in time..and the BEST part..none of them cause cavities! Ha!
Non-Candy Easter Basket Ideas for Kids
More daylight and warmer weather means more time spent outside and lots of swimming once the weather warms up in OKC. My kids love the outdoors, so I always love to stuff their Easter baskets with summer goodies like new swimsuits and plenty of outdoor games and activities so we can get active and enjoy the weather. Please note…All of this swimwear is currently BOGO 50% off until March 30th!
Girls Swimsuits
I’m going to start out with my favorite swimsuit that my youngest Vivian is just dying to have! This one piece unicorn suit is so adorable! The ruffles add a fun touch to it! It’s not warm enough for swimsuits yet, but if you follow me on my Instagram Stories, you know Vivy has already been wearing her new mermaid slides around the house! Another Spring must-have that’s under $10 and has been soooo popular with all of the mom’s out there.
My girls both have fair skin, so I am all about one pieces and rash guards that help prevent less sun damage. And less work for mom when I apply and reapply sunblock for the 100th time! I buy my 4 yr old a rash guard all in one suit every year and I cannot rave enough about them! They are soooo convenient and offer such good SPF. Other mothers always stop and ask me where I found her suits.
And if you are anything like me, oranges and lemons are such a cute print for summer. I am ALL about citrus inspired everything, so these two toddler girl suits (lemon suit and orange suit) are so ADORABLE and make the cutest non-candy Easter basket gift idea for kids!
For older girls, and a great classic suit, I chose a striped blue & white suit with red ruffle added to it. This suit will be great for Memorial Day weekend and the 4th of July too. If she loves bikinis like my 9-year-old does, this pastel plaid suit is super cute and comes with a rash guard too.
Boys Swimsuits
Hudson is my little fish! He absolutely LOVES being in the water! I always lean toward bright, fun colors for him. Hudson is my little freckled boy and has the fairest skin of almost any kid I know, so I ALWAYS have him in a long-sleeved rash guard with SPF 50+. This blue and turquoise zipper rash guard is a great option that will go with most any swim trunks for boys. I always love gray as a neutral and this gray rash guard can go with most trunks as well.
The bright striped swim trunks for older boys and the pastel plaid trunks are so darling. For younger boys, I would have had Hudson in this “Sea You Soon” rash guard and blue and white striped trunks FOR SURE! How adorable for your little one to splash around in.
Swimming Essentials
Goggles – I found the most comfortable goggles for the kids with a padded head strap. The padded strap gives more cushion and security. For a great deal, I linked a pair of $10 goggles that come in a 2 pack. I know the kids goggles always magically disappear over summer so I purchase a few sets.
Inflatable Swimming Games
Water Volleyball Net – Such a fun family activity! This is a great water sport to get the whole family involved! Our family likes to get a little competitive!
Water Basketball Goal – Classic sport that the kids love! My kids could play this for hours! Great sport to practice hand eye coordination.
Outdoor Games
Sidewalk Chalk Set – My driveway is always covered in “art.” I love seeing all the creative things that kids come up with! I taught them how to draw and play Hopscotch last year and they playing that. One neat thing about this set is the stencils that come with!
Kids Gardening Set – The kids love helping me plant my garden every year so I got them the cutest set to help me out! Comes with an adorable kit full of tools to help them dig in the dirt.
Jump Ropes – An oldie but a goodie! I loved jump ropes as a kid and I love looking out the windows to see the kids keeping the tradition going! As I’m on my Faster Way to Fat loss journey, I even bought a few jump ropes for our gym to do a fun cardio workout.
Bug Catching Kit – My kids go crazy over catching bugs and inspecting them! This kit has a fun detailed book explaining what each insect is . It’s makes for lots of fun time spent outdoors and they learn along the way, which I love.
Giant Bubble Wand – It’s always a competition of who can make the biggest bubble. The kids love chasing the bubbles as well! My oldest loves to blow bubbles for our younger kids and let them pop them.
Spring Color Fun
Hair Chalk Salon – The girls love coloring their hair. This is a great temporary coloring kit. I even caught them coloring the Leo the Cat last year! He was not a happy kitty!
This rounds up my Non-Candy Easter Basket Ideas for Kids. I hope everyone’s Easter is great and that you have wonderful family time! Stay tuned as I plan on sharing more affordable Spring outfits on my blog and on Instagram!
