As much as I love summer, I don’t love the dry and tired skin that comes along with the summer heat. After getting in our saltwater pool or riding in the boat, my skin feels SO dry and tight! Oooooooh, I cannot stand that feeling!
It is so important to keep your skin hydrated and protected from the summer sun. My goal as I get closer to 40 is to be comfortable in my own skin and confident without much makeup on…thanks to a quality summer skincare routine and effective products, I can achieve that!
To help me get my summer skincare routine up to par, I partnered with my favorite retailer, Nordstrom, to share some amazing skincare products that will do just that….hydrate, moisturize & protect your skin from the hot summer sun. Nordstrom is my long time fave department store, just like I mentioned in this summer makeup post! They carry all of my go-to brands and their customer service is the stuff dreams are made of.

Summer Skincare Routine
DEPUFF-Patchology FlashPatch Illuminating 5 Minute Eye Gels
I like to use these first thing in the morning. These 5 minute eye gels are perfect for your tired, puffy eyes. They are vitamin C packed to help illuminate & brighten your undereye area. Apply to clean skin before you do your make-up. It will leave the prettiest pearlescent glow! You can also apply at night to soothe tired eyes. Great for travel too! I just took these with us on our trip and they feel so nice the morning after a day in the sun.
TONE-Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid
After cleansing, this toner is great! Get all the build up of oil and sunblock off of your face! This liquid exfoliator helps to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. When the skin becomes dull and dry, dead skin cells can build up on the surface. This exfoliator helps to shed these extra layers cleaning pores. This is great to do before you apply all of your serums & moisturizers so that they are able to reach deep down in your skin. Acclimate your skin to this by using it just a few times per week at first.
PROTECT-Supergoop! Smooth & Poreless 100% Mineral Matte Screen Sunscreen SPF 40
This 100% mineral formula is a primer & sunscreen in one! It is water resistant for up to 40 minutes and has an air whipped texture. This can be used alone as a sunscreen with SPF 40 protection or as a primer under your makeup. It is translucent so will blend with most skin tones blurring pores and giving your skin a matte finish. 
REFRESH-Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater
This refreshing & hydrating mist is the perfect skin pick me up! I throw in my purse or my pool bag for when my skin is feeling tight & dehydrated. I lightly mist my face refreshing my skin on those hot summer days. This is another staple I take when we travel too.

This moisturizer is amazing!! Charlotte Tilbury’s secret formula of anti-aging and hydrating ingredients will instantly transform tired skin. . It stimulates collagen production to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, while also restoring elasticity and hydration to your skin. It is definitely magic in a bottle after a long day in the heat. Sometimes I mix the above mentioned peptide booster with the magic cream and apply together for a glow.
She also just realeased a new Magic Cream Light. This new formula is a lightweight cream with SPF 20 for intense hydration and triple threat protection against air pollution, blue light and UVA/UVB rays
ENHANCE-NEULASH Lash Enhancing Serum
Not exactly skincare, but what girl doesn’t want long & lush lashes?! I have been using this after I tried lash boost and it works just as well if not better. The key is CONSISTENCY!
