Happy Fall Ya’ll!! I have been loving these cooler temps in OKC lately! I love changing out my home decor for the seasons! And I love decorating for fall. All the neutral and warm tones really blend well with all my existing home decor. This year I went with lots of whites, creams, neutrals and greens, giving a sophisticated fall look.

Neutral Fall Decor Ideas for your Living Room
The first step that I always do when I am decorating any space, like I mentioned in my fall kitchen decor post, is to start with a blank slate! I clear all of my existing decor pieces out, this also allows me to dust and clean! Then I will come back the next day and lay out all my fall pieces. I like to see everything I have to work with, then my creative juices can start to flow! Cozy throws, textured pillows, faux fall stems, greenery, and lots of pumpkins in a variety of sizes and textures top the list!
I focused most of my attention on the main focal point of the room…. My fire place mantle and hearth!
There is no surprise here that I went with a neutral color pallette. I decorated the mantle with an array of neutral pumpkins in different sizes, colors and texutres… I used ceramic, raffia, velvet and more.
Can you see Casey’s speaker hiding behind my decor?! He will not move it so I do my best to make it blend in. Lol! Then I mixed in lots of faux eucalyptus stems which really helps to add dimension to the mantle.
For the hearth I wanted to add a little height so I flanked each side with some taller decor pieces. One side has one of my neutral pillows and the other has a white vase with tall neutral stems. I then mixed in some larger glass and wooden pumpkins, along with some more eucalyptus stems. I love the array of varying heights and textures, it helps to keep your eye moving around!
For the artwork above my mantle, that is actually my Samung Frame TV.
I have the beige frame…linked here. I love that it doesn’t look like I have a television hanging above the mantle. When the TV is not in use, it looks like a beautiful piece of artwork hanging on the wall. I picked a pretty scene that came with the TV with lots of neutrals and greens to compliment my mantle decor.
Lastly for this area, I added two matching fall wreaths (from At Home) to the windows that flank the fireplace. I love the wreaths here, they add an unexpected touch to a place where you don’t always think about decorating. I used command hooks to easily hang the wreaths without any damage to the windows.
Once the focal point of the room was complete, I moved around the room adding little fall vignettes. For the console table, I added (of course!) some more larger pumpkins in glass, sherpa and ceramic. A gold frame, a fall candle and more eucalyptus finish off the top of the console. I like to keep my existing art work and lamp there and just add in nice seasonal items.
On the bottom shelf, I have straw woven baskets that I use all year long.
I placed a cozy throw blanket in one and a decorative throw in the other. A mercury glass and velvet pumkin help to add texture and dimension.
The next vignette I created was across from the console table. I have a neutral color settee and round wooden table. On the settee I have varying navy and neutral throw pillows with different patterns and textures. On the table, I have a round rattan tray that I often use throughout my home for decorating. Here I added a mercury glass vase with fall faux stems and you guessed it, a white ceramic pumpkin with some white books!
Lastly, I filled my leather sofas with lots of comfy throw pillows in varying sizes, colors and textures to give a cozy vibe!! We absolutely love this faux fur throw also!
I am really loving the way my living room fall decor turned out! Ya’ll know I am a sucker for all things neutral and cozy, and I think the mix of texture, creams and greenery really hits the fall vibe I was going for!
