The best cut off denim shorts can be hard to find. In the past I have struggled to find denim shorts that are comfortable, flattering and not too short. A good pair of cut off denim shorts is essential for the warmer seasons! I typically reach for cut off denim shorts over traditional denim shorts for several reasons. Cut off denim shorts are more comfortable for me because they are less structured and the legs are usually less tight. Also, I think cut off denim shorts are always easier to style based on my mood or what I’m dressing for that day. You can style cut off jean shorts casually, sporty or even a little more dressy!
I’ve searched high and low over the past several months for flattering denim shorts. So when I find a good pair, I make sure to tell you guys about it! I’ve found a few pairs of cut off denim shorts that I’ve loved for a couple of seasons and I’ve also found a few new pairs that I’ve been loving this spring.

The Best Cut Off Denim Shorts
Agolde Parker Short

The Parker short is a best-seller and arguably one of my favorite pairs of cut off denim shorts. They’re high quality and have lasted me a couple of years already! These denim shorts tend to sell out several times during the summer. Make sure you snag a pair while they’re available. I will point out they are the shortest pair I am sharing in this post. So, please keep that in mind. I am wearing a size 27 in the shorts and am 5ft 7″ FYI. I styled them with this cute Wal-Mart crochet top in size small and these wedges.
The Parker Shorts are a high-rise short and a great pair to dress up or down. They are at a higher price point because of the higher quality so they’re definitely worth every penny. I love to style these with my GG sneakers for an easy casual look. This pair is so good I even wear them into fall with lightweight sweaters and booties until it gets cool enough for jeans.

The Parker Long Short is exactly the same pair as the Parker short I mentioned above but this pair has a longer inseam. These are also high rise jean shorts. This pair is definitely mom-friendly if you’ve got little kids to chase around or tend to have to bend down quite a bit to pick up pool toys, etc. I love this pair for wearing to pool parties or even just to the park with my kids.
I usually throw on my favorite Travel sandals and one of my cute Target tops with this pair for a cute and simple look! You could also definitely pair the Parker short with a cute graphic tee and blazer for lunch with friends or date night!
Abercrombie High Rise 4-inch Mom Shorts

These High Rise 4-inch Mom Shorts are another mom-friendly pair that is perfect to wear at family gatherings and pool parties. I love that this pair is high waisted AND has the longer 4-inch inseam. Every mom needs a good full coverage pair of cut off denim shorts. These are great quality too! I am wearing 28 in this pair. They also come in this mid rise option too.
This is also a great pair for dressing up and wearing to lunch with friends or on a patio date night! I also love to wear these on a normal day out running errands with a flattering bodysuit, my favorite statement bag, and some fun bracelets and sunnies!
Abercrombie Curve Love High Rise 4-Inch Mom Shorts

This Abercrombie Curve Love High Rise pair is really similar to the pair I just mentioned above. The difference between the Curve Love cut and the regular cut is that the Curve Love have larger leg openings. Perfect with all of us that have CURVES! So, they might be more comfortable if you usually think cut off denim shorts are tight around the thighs.
I personally love this pair of denim shorts. They are super comfortable! Other than the difference in leg opening width, the look and coverage is the same as the regular mom shorts. These are also high waisted. This pair is great for styling with a cute blouse and sandals if you want to dress them up. But sometimes I just wear them over my swim suit to the pool!
Target Wild Fable High-Rise Frayed Hem Jean Shorts

I have to share this Target pair because they are so cute. They’re also at an incredible price point. They’ve been super popular among style influencers- and for good reason! This is a great everyday pair of cut off denim shorts that you can wear out. Believe it or not they’re only $15! This high waisted pair is great if you’re needing something really budget-friendly, but they’re also extremely comfortable and easy to style! I love these cut off denim shorts in black. They do also come in 5 color ways including a light and medium denim wash.
In the summer we may go from the pool to dinner on a patio with friends. So I love that cut off denim shorts give me the option to do both! They’re cute and can be casual, but it’s easy to dress them up for date night or a night with friends. I love wearing all of these denim shorts with my popular Travel sandals or just flip flops to the pool. They can also be worn with sneakers like my Golden Goose pair that I love!
