Fall is always one of my favorite seasons to shop for. The colors, the textures, the trends – it’s all so good! Each year, I always make it a priority to stock up the essentials at the beginning of the season. These are the pieces I’ll build my wardrobe around throughout the cooler months and wear into spring. This year, I started my fall shopping a little earlier than usual but can you blame me? There are so many good pieces out right now and I wanted to take advantage while they’re all still in stock! And unsurprisingly, I found some of the best fall fashion essentials at Walmart.

Floral Mini Dresses
Mini dresses are a must when transitioning from summer to fall. When it’s still warm out, you can wear them with your favorite sneakers or sandals, but as the temperatures drop they’re fun to style with tall boots and leather jackets. When picking out mini dresses to transition me into fall, I always gravitate towards darker tones and floral patterns. This dress and this dress are both really great where now and later options. The feminine details make them fell less heavy, which is great considering the colors!
Cozy Sweaters
As the weather gets cooler, the more I gravitate towards wearing cozy sweaters and this one is one of my favorites right now. It is so soft and the cut outs on the shoulder are so chic. I’ll be wearing it both with jeans and these coated pants this fall. If you’re someone who already has a lot of sweaters in your rotation (I’m a firm believer that there is no such thing as too many sweaters!), having one that is a little more fun is a great way to shake up your wardrobe.
Easy Jackets
You can never have too many jackets, especially as the temperatures start getting cooler. They are an easy way to add a third piece to any outfit to give it a more elevated feel and there are so many options out there based on your needs. Two jackets that I added to my rotation this year are this sherpa utility coat and this corduroy shacket. I love that I can throw both on with leggings or joggers for school drop off or dress them up with these pants for girls night out.
Plaid Shacket
While this shacket could have been included above, it really deserves it’s own spot. The plaid shacket first made an appearance a few years ago and has quickly become one of the best fall essentials. Like any other casual jacket, I have found myself constantly pairing my plaid shacket with leggings or jeans for an easy and casual outfit. This year I was determined to elevate my plaid shacket and wear it more as a wardrobe piece rather than just a jacket to keep me warm. Luckily, this shacket pairs perfectly with my new pants and I couldn’t be more in love with the final look
