Spring is right around the corner and after an especially cold winter, I’m excited to pull out some of my favorite spring pieces and give some new trends a try. This spring, I’m all about incorporating more color into my wardrobe and the first area I’m elevating is my dress collection. Since Walmart always has the best trends for the season at every day low prices, I placed an order to try some new-to-me silhouettes I’ve been eyeing, plus a few old favorites! The Utility Dress
When it comes to dresses, I always opt for more feminine silhouettes but I love the structure of a utility dress. When I saw this dress from Walmart, I knew I needed it for the spring season and I love it more than I thought I would! The belt detailing gives it more shape than a typical utility dress, which I love. It also looks so cute paired with these heeled sandals but could also be worn with a pair of white sneakers, denim jacket, and baseball hat for weekend activities with the kids.
The Shirt Dress
The shirt dress is a wardrobe classic but love that this patterned midi shirt dress adds a little excitement to my (very) neutral wardrobe. This is another one of those dresses that you could dress up or down depending on what you have planned. I’ll definitely be wearing it with these heeled sandals this spring. The fabric of this dress is also super soft and comfortable, and it’s lightweight making it a great option for those of us who live in warm climates!
The Cut Out Midi Dress
There are so many fun dress trends right now and one that I am loving is cut out dresses. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect one since last year and when I saw this one, it was an immediate add to cart. The cut outs are on the smaller side so I don’t feel exposed and the ring in the middle adds such a fun detail! I’ll definitely be wearing this to a few events I have this spring, along with any and all barbecue invites I receive! It fits true to size and the puff sleeve detailing is to die for.
The Gathered Waist Mini Dress
This style of dress is my go-to, especially in the spring and summer months. The gathered waist accentuate your curves and highlight your shape, they’re truly so flattering! This spring, I picked up this pink floral dress and this pink ruffle hem dress and love that they add a fun pop of color to my wardrobe. The length on both are great too, not too short! I’ll be wearing this one for Easter this year with my trusty heeled sandals and am hoping to wear this one on a warm weather vacation.
